Rachel Norwood

Office Manager and MSW Intern

Rachel serves in multiple roles within the Gap Relief team, fulfilling the roles of Office Manager and Master of Social Work (MSW) Intern. She holds a B.S. in Family and Human Services from John Brown University and is currently pursuing her MSW at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock. Rachel is a certified Prepare/Enrich facilitator and a Certified Family Life Educator (CFLE) – Provisional. In her role at Gap Relief, Rachel contributes to Gap Relief’s mission by managing office operations and logistics, securing grant funding, and developing resources and training programs for the various sectors Gap Relief serves.

In addition to her work with Gap Relief, Rachel brings valuable firsthand experience to the field of trauma-informed care through her full-time role as a firefighter and EMT with a local fire department. As the team lead for her department’s peer support team, she possesses a deep understanding of the profound impact trauma can have on first responders and other professionals in high-stress environments. This experience fuels her passion for advocating for and supporting the mental well-being of those who regularly encounter trauma in their line of work.
