Help us change the way we heal pain, stress, & trauma
Often our helpers are the first to arrive on the scene of a traumatic event and to be the ones catching and cleaning up the aftermath. Research shows us that ongoing exposure to trauma can lead to health concerns. While these first responders are dedicated to protecting and serving others, this leaves them with little time and resources to care for themselves. Help us fight to serve alongside these brave men and women by walking with them through their unique pressures and trauma experiences. Your donation helps bring individualized counseling and trauma training to the protectors in our community.
Current Local Projects
TIERS
T.I.E.R.S. (Trauma Informed Educators Reaching Students) exists to engage the education system in Northwest Arkansas by engaging teaching staff and administration to increase staff care and resiliency as well as build trauma-informed student supports, policies, and procedures.
For the 2024-2025 school year, we will be adding 3 more school teams from NWA to this program, and also plan to increase consultation on the district level.
We are looking to raise $35,000 to continue this important work in 2024, and invite you to jump in with us.
NCPTF
The individuals who are part of NCPTF are helpers of helpers just like us at Gap Relief, stepping in with law enforcement agencies around the world to assist them in protecting, finding, and rescuing missing children. Gap Relief is training and equipping this team as they are enduring tremendous trauma to locate our most vulnerable children. Click here to learn more about what NCPTF does.
