Megan Taylor, MS, LPC, LMFT

Megan is a Licensed Professional Counselor and Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist who has more than 12 years of counseling experience along with several years of community nonprofit experience. She is trained in Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Trust-Based Relational Intervention (TBRI), Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TFCBT), Parent Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Trauma Competent Caregiver (TCC), Internal Family Systems (IFS) and the Neurosequential Model of Education (NME).
Megan’s experience includes serving as a counselor with a Children’s Advocacy Center, non-profit organizations, private practice settings, the local education system, and multi-disciplinary teams. Megan’s primary experience has consisted of work with (but not limited to): foster and adoptive families, child and adult survivors of abuse or trauma, leaders within the nonprofit and human services sectors, law enforcement and first responders, and international workers. Megan also enjoys working with individuals, couples, and groups in extended therapeutic intensives, and is currently working primarily from an intensive model.
In addition to her work as a counselor, Megan has extensive experience developing and facilitating personalized training experiences and creating resources for organizations representing a variety of community sectors. Training and resource topics have included (but are not limited to): the impact of trauma and/or secondary traumatic stress, caring for those in crises, attachment theory and the facilitation of healthy attachment relationships, personal and workplace resiliency, sexuality and sexual abuse recovery, and trauma-informed education systems. Megan desires to see healthy, safe, and thriving communities both locally and across the world.
