Amy Butler, MA, LPC

Amy has her Masters in Marriage and Family Counseling (MAMFC) and has been a Licensed Professional Counselor for more than 15 years. She has experience working in therapeutic day treatments, inpatient psychiatric facilities, non-profit organizations, and private practice settings. Amy is trained in Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Trust Based Relational Intervention (TBRI), Critical Incident Stress Debriefing (CISD), Story Informed Trauma Training (SITT) Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Trauma Competent Caregiver (TCC), and Internal Family Systems (IFS). She utilizes all of these models to go towards her typical demographic of law enforcement and first responders, military, sexual abuse survivors, nonprofit leaders, and international workers.
Amy has several years of experience training on the topics of resiliency, self-care, emotional intelligence, building safe organizational culture, the impact of trauma and secondary traumatic stress, and the skills needed to engage others in traumatic realities. Amy also enjoys working with individuals, couples, and groups in extended therapeutic intensives, and is currently working primarily from an intensive model. She is passionate about doing her part in fighting for safe, resilient communities.
